What do I put in the description? What if I don't know what I want?

Start with the basics: who it's for, the vibe you want, and one or two things you'd love to see (a mascot, your truck, a hometown reference). If you're stuck, tap "Generate an idea" and we'll draft a short concept you can edit. There's no wrong answer — the first pass is a starting point, not a final design.

How long does a concept take to generate?

Accepted Answer

Usually about 1–3 minutes per concept. Keep the browser tab open while it renders. When it's done we'll take you straight to your design.

Is this the final artwork I'd print?

Accepted Answer

No — think of Concept Studio as the starting sketch. Every real production job goes through Excel's in-house artists, who rebuild the concept as clean, print-ready artwork. That artist work is included in your order at no extra charge.

Question 4

Do I need a logo to get started?

Accepted Answer

Nope. A logo helps if you want your brand baked in, but you can create a concept with just a description and a couple of reference photos.

What image formats can I upload?

PNG, JPG, and WEBP work best. Vector logos (SVG/AI/EPS) are great for the final artist stage — Excel's artists will use them when they rebuild your design for print.

What's the difference between an "exact" and a "loose" reference?

Accepted Answer

Exact means we try to preserve the subject faithfully — great for your truck, your building, your mascot, or your logo. Loose means we use the image as style/mood inspiration without copying it. Logos default to exact. Photos default to exact but you can switch them to loose.

Can Excel actually print what I see here?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that's the whole point. Every concept follows real screen-print rules (bold shapes, limited spot colors, safe area). Excel's artists then rebuild the concept as clean vector artwork ready for our presses. If something in the concept isn't printable, we'll adjust it during the artist stage.

Who owns the concept and the final artwork?

Accepted Answer

Your brand, logos, and story always stay yours. The concept generated in Concept Studio and the final hand-drawn artwork made by Excel's artists are owned by Excel Sportswear by default. When you order with Excel, you get full use of that artwork on your print run at no extra charge — the artist work is included. If you want rights to reuse the final artwork somewhere else (other vendors, merchandise, non-apparel media), it can be purchased separately — just ask a Brand Expert. Can I get the high-resolution, non-watermarked version of my concept?

Yes — by request. Rights to the high-res, non-watermarked concept file are reviewed case-by-case and may carry a fee. Email info@exceltees.com or talk to your Brand Expert and we'll walk you through it.

How do I save, share, or download my concept?

Accepted Answer

From the design page you can save it to your account, download a watermarked preview, or send it to Excel to get a real quote and start the artist stage. Sharing with your team is as simple as sending the link once you've saved it. The download is a watermarked preview for evaluation; if you need the high-res, non-watermarked version, request rights and we'll take it from there.

How much does it cost to actually print?

Accepted Answer

It depends on garment, decoration method, ink/thread colors, print locations, and quantity. Our pricing estimator on your concept page gives a solid ballpark. For a firm number, request pricing and a Brand Expert will send a real quote — usually within one business day.

Question 12

Is there a minimum order?

Accepted Answer

Yes — 100 pieces for screen-printed apparel and 144 for embroidered caps. You can mix sizes and even mix garment styles (tee + long sleeve + hoodie) at the same total quantity to hit the minimum.

Will a real artist clean this up before printing?

Accepted Answer

Always. Every production job goes through Excel's in-house artists — no exceptions, no extra fee. AI starts the concept. Excel artists finish the design.

Is my design private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your projects and uploads are stored privately in your account. Excel staff can see them to help you with production; we don't publish or share your concepts publicly.

Will you reuse my idea for other customers?

No. Your concept, uploads, and brand references are yours. We don't recycle customer ideas or resell your designs.

Both — and that's on purpose. AI drafts the initial concept fast so you can play with ideas. Then Excel's in-house artists rebuild it as clean, print-ready artwork by hand. We use a mix of leading AI models combined with our own proprietary prompts, structure, and build — tuned and trained with Excel Sportswear's own artwork and art styles.
